Thanks for covering RAW's Divas action, Arron. AJ and Layla put on a good match, even if Layla looked a little awkward at times. AJ looked good, and I love that new Black Widow hold. I missed the show last night due to a late shift working at DISH. But I have my DISH Hopper DVR record all of the WWE shows during the week. It holds up to 2000 hours of recordings, so the WWE could expand all of their shows to 3 hours a week and it wouldn't make a dent.

A shame to see Audrey Marie go. I enjoyed her work and wish she would have been given more of a chance. Anya I would have liked to see her actually work but from the sounds of it she's not giving up wrestling. Oh well, I suppose they had to make room for a certain two new Divas ;)

Yes! Yes! YES! This is the match I know Velvet and Gail have been capable of. I loved all of it, some nice storytelling from both of them. Interesting development with Mickie. I get the feeling Gail may somehow be involved with the title match next week, maybe interfering to cause a no contest. Then eventually Mickie turns on Velvet and boom! We have a rubber match

I see your point Arron. Slow build storylines only work if they're kept interesting. At the PPV we should really get a big development to kick the story into gear. The match itself was good. Kaitlyn and Aksana have had so-so chemistry in the past but Aksana continues to improve week after week. Within a year or so I could realistically see her making the transition to possible Divas' title contender. She knows her character and how to work a crowd, and she's becoming fairly interesting to watch in the ring as well. She just needs to tighten up some of her execution of moves. The ending from the torture rack into the spear was very good

I am really interested to see Summer Rae in-ring with the Dancing gimmick. She has done really well for her time wrestling. At 5 ft 10 in, she seems great in there working with girls shorter than her.

I'd definitely like to see the girls get on the Extreme Rules card. It'd be cool if AJ and Kaitlyn were forced to team together against the Bellas, going off what the twins did last week. I think this feud has potential and there's still a chance to salvage it without peaking too soon by putting the belt on AJ

I have to disagree here... There is no reason why Kaitlyn vs. A.J should not be at Extreme Rules. AJ Lee became #1 contender on April 22, 2013. That was 4weeks... 4 Raw's and 4 Smackdown's to build to the pay-per-view. With all the added previous history, all this is, is lazy writers, and the Divas Division not being a priority.

Normally I'd be annoyed with the Divas' title match being left off the Extreme Rules card but I think it's still a bit too early to have it. Hopefully once the PPV over and all the WrestleMania fallout has died down, this storyline will get more attention. I'm delighted that AJ has opted for an effective looking submission rather than using her boyfriend's weak looking sleeper hold. They should give her wins against the likes of Layla and Naomi to really sell the hold. It seems like this storyline is heading towards Kaitlyn being possibly distracted by her 'secret admirer' just long enough for AJ to strike with her submission. And if she got the Bella Twins to send the presents, there's her first mini feud as champion. The twins will demand title shots since they helped AJ do her dirty work and bingo you have a nice 4-way feud factoring in Kaitlyn's rematch

I like your thinking but I personally feel winning by a sleeper is a bit too weak. I know Ziggler uses it but I've never been a fan. I'd prefer her to use something that looks better. The octopus she used on Raw would really do the job. Have Kaitlyn get locked in it a couple of times before being trapped in the middle of the ring and eventually be worn down

Let AJ win with the sleeperhold taught to her by Ziggler. What better way to combat the obvious physical difference. Kaitlyn did a really good sell job on dragon sleeper applied by Maxine during NXT and even during house shows has sold Tamina rear naked sleepers to point of referee doing the third limp arm raise and then powering out. This time just let AJ sleeper
her out.

It was a good match. Too bad we've seen it several times before. I guess the supposed program between Mickie and Velvet isn't going anywhere because once again Gail Kim is at the forefront of storylines. She seriously needs to take a backseat and let Mickie and Velvet have the spotlight

Great job with the write-up Bobby.
I pretty much agree with all your points. I really enjoyed this match. There was some nice build to it, and both women delivered. It would be great to see the Divas actually get to work lengthy matches like this on Raw and Smackdown.
